Helping Men Become The Best Versions Of Themselves
Why are we here ?
In the UK, men’s mental health issues are a significant concern. Statistics indicate that around 1 in 8 men are experiencing mental health problems, with common issues including depression and anxiety. Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50, and men are three times more likely than women to take their own lives. Additionally, only 36% of men feel comfortable discussing their mental health with friends or family, which highlights the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help as many men as we can to overcome mental health issues through education and exercise, whether it is a walk, bike ride, or cold dip, we encourage men to get out of their comfort zones
Our History
We were founded in September 2021 when our founder had an idea in his mind after the tragic loss of one of his friends.
Since the group’s inception we have grown at an incredible rate far beyond initial expectations.
For the group to continue to grow we have now elected a more formalised committee to ease the pressure on our founder and he has now stepped back from the group but our work and support for men of all ages continues.
Our Group
Our group is made up of men from all walks of life. From 18 to 80.
Some come for the exercise; some for the social aspect and companionship.
Some have already overcome their mental health issues and some are still in the process of dealing with them.
We may not have professional qualifications but we have a wealth of valuable life experience; stories to tell and more than willing to listen.

Don’t Suffer In Silence!
Men’s mental health is a critical issue that often goes overlooked, with statistics revealing alarming trends. According to the World Health Organisation, men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women, and in the United States, it’s reported that 1 in 10 men experience depression. However, societal expectations and traditional notions of masculinity often discourage men from seeking help, leading to a culture where mental health issues remain unaddressed. Many men feel pressured to appear strong and self-reliant, which can result in the denial of their emotional struggles, as admitting to mental health problems may be perceived as a weakness.
The stigma surrounding mental health plays a significant role in men’s reluctance to acknowledge their struggles. A study published in the American Journal of Men’s Health found that men are less likely to engage in help-seeking behavior, often due to fears of being judged or labeled as weak. Additionally, many men are taught from a young age to suppress their emotions, leading to internalised beliefs that vulnerability is unacceptable. As a consequence, mental health issues can escalate without intervention, highlighting the need for greater awareness and supportive environments that encourage men to speak openly about their mental health.
